Tate Woods reminders for this week...

Important Dates:

• December 14th - 1st Grade Music Program at Lisle Jr. High School - 7pm 
  • students arrive at 6:45pm to line up with their class
• December 21 @ 2pm - Winter Parties (students and previously assigned volunteers)
• December 25-Jan 5 -  Winter Break
• Monday, January 8 - School Resumes

Can You Help?

We need gently used snow pants (sizes 6-10) and snow boots (sizes 13-4) for use here at school. We keep these things here for students that don't have them so they can plan in the snow and cold. 

ALL Tate Woods Families:

• December 22nd is KINDNESS DAY here at Tate Woods.  Students will be stuffing our kindness bags.  We will have a video conversation with Matt De la Pena, author of Last Stop on Market Street and the Lisle Library will visit with us as well.

• We are still collecting items for our Kindness Bags.  If you can donate travel size shampoo, toothpaste or hand sanitizer, we would be thankful! Just send in with your child.

• We go out to recess as long as the wind chill is at 0 degrees or above.  Please help your child dress for the cold and practice zipping up his/her coat and putting on hats, gloves, and scarves. Also, please label all of your child's gear with their last name. Thank you!

• Make sure your children leave their toys and valuable items at home.  Backpacks and coats are left on cubbies and hooks outside the classrooms.  Items that hang from the backpack can go missing very easily.  Please have your child leave them at home. 

• If any family is in need of warm clothing or food during this season, please reach out to Lauren Puetz, Tate Woods Social Worker.  She will provide resources and support with confidentiality.  630-493-8050
