Lisle District 202’s mission is to provide our learning community with the education, skills and experiences for future success. With this mission as the guide, this year the elementary grades K-5 will implement a new math program called “Bridges” that integrates increased rigor, as well as the academic and critical thinking skills necessary to prepare for the next levels. The Bridges math program supports the implementation of the Common Core standards and emphasizes conceptual understanding, number fluency and real life problem solving. Through differentiated and targeted learning opportunities, students interact with the content in whole class, small group and individual instruction. Once a concept is introduced, students apply their knowledge by engaging in daily math talk conversations and are encouraged to deepen their own mathematical understanding through peer discourse. Learn more about the Bridges program and explore the many resources available to our families on the Math Learning Center Website.
