English I Placement Requirements
The following criteria have been
established for student placement in the
Honors English program at Lisle Senior
High School:
An overall GPA of 4.20 or better
Additionally, three (3) of the following four (4) guidelines must also be met:
→ An “A” average in both language arts and literature (A “B” average for A.T. literature is acceptable.)
→ A national stanine of 8 or 9 in the reading and language sections of the most recent achievement testing
→ Evidence of excellent writing skills
→ Teacher recommendation for honors placement
All of the above-mentioned requirements must be met for placement in Honors English I.
