Penguin Paragraphs! Penguins on display!
Winter Research and Writing Activity in Room 130
The students in the resource room have been hard at work this winter researching and practicing their writing skills. Since lately it seems like the weather in Lisle has been similar to the weather in Antarctica, the students have been doing in-depth research on penguins. We have read library texts, watched online video clips, and used the internet to complete our research. All year long the students have been learning about and practicing writing the different types of paragraphs. This winter they have used their skills to create narrative, descriptive, and expository paragraphs about penguins. For a fun activity the students got to create their very own paper bag penguins that now reside on an iceberg in room 130.
