Thank You Breakfast
The Lisle Junior High School LRC hosted a student assistant breakfast on May 9th to thank the LRC student assistants who volunteered to work during the year. The students worked in the LRC before school and during their study hall each week stamping library cards, checking books and magazines in/out, shelving books, preparing collections for classroom use, and cleaning the computers and bookshelves. Students also volunteered at the LRC fall and spring book fairs. The breakfast goodies included cereal, milk, juice, yogurt, granola bars, doughnuts, and bagels. Each volunteer selected two paperback books and was presented a pen, highlighter, and a box of colored pencils as a gift for all of their hard work.
