Calling All Detectives....
Third graders at Schiesher School were treated to a Mystery Theater presentation on April 10. After listening to a very entertaining story by the Mystery Shop’s actors, the children donned their detective hats and worked together in groups to solve a series of puzzles, riddles, and coded messages which led them to the final answer. The actors told them the story of Pandora’s Box, and the children had to figure out what was left in Pandora’s box after she unleashed all the bad things inside. Of course, the answer was Hope! This activity required lots of cooperation and teamwork on the part of the children. They also had to use decision making and deductive reasoning skills. It was a great learning experience for them, and fun was had by all!
