Volunteers Needed for the Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival June 29-July 1, 2012

The Lisle Education Foundation will be supporting the Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival event. The dates of this event are June 29-July 1, 2012. There will be fireworks each evening.

The Foundation was formed in 1987 to serve as a link between the community and the schools. The Foundation provides teachers with money to bring in presenters, sponsor extensive out-of-district field trip experiences, sponsor hands-on learning from experts from numerous careers and much more. In order to financially support the wonderful programs requested by teachers, we need your continued support.

Volunteering at the Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival could be a great way to help the Lisle Education Foundation support students! Here is how it works; coordinators will document the number of hours you, your family and friends work during the Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival. Those hours will be counted in the Lisle Education Foundation total volunteer hours. This will translate into money coming back to the Foundation. The money is then used to support the numerous programs and activities highlighted above.

No outside clubs, organizations or individual groups will be given credit for volunteer hours. Only the six affiliates, Partners for Parks, Lisle Education Foundation, Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis and the Chamber can receive disbursed funds from the Festival Committee will be recognized for receiving money from volunteer hours from the festival. So please volunteer and donate your hours of time to the Lisle Education Foundation. High School students will be eligible to receive community service hours.
