LRC Book Policies and Procedures

Students may check out up to three books and one magazine at a time. Books are checked out for three weeks while magazines are checked out for one week period. Current monthly issues of magazines are available for students to read in the LRC but may not be checked out. We currently retain back issues for monthly magazines for two years and weekly magazines for six months.
Materials may not be checked out if a student has overdue books / magazines.
Overdue notices are distributed during fifth/sixth periods on Thursdays. If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, the student will be asked to pay for the book. At the end of each quarter overdue materials are mailed out with report cards.
Students may renew books as well as place a title on hold. When the title has been returned to the LRC the staff will notify the student that it is available for check out.
Confused? Perplexed? Don't be! We have a number of book recommendations for you to pick from in our book brochures located on the LRC counter. Each brochure highlights the newest books available in a particular genre. Pick one up (along with a bookmark) and enjoy the treasures found in books.
