Third through fifth grade students just finished the Pasta for Pennies program. This was a fundraising program sponsored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. During this time, with parent permission, students used collection boxes to gather spare change from their piggy banks, around the house, or from family and friends that wanted to help. After collecting the spare change, students turned in the donations to a classroom collection box. The students counted the money that came in and the class that collected the most won an Olive Garden pasta lunch. Mrs. Barber’s class won the pasta, but we are all winners because each class did an amazing job and collected a lot of money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! Making a difference in the lives of children with cancer is the best prize! Our grand total, in just two weeks time, was $3,677.55. Thank you so much for your generosity and support at home!
