The 8th grade student body behind the motivation of Mr. Kim, raised money for the Lisle Food Pantry.
The students of Lisle donated a generous $3500.00!!!

Student Council is a group of students elected from each grade that makes decisions on things that influence the school and its students. The Council tries to promote leadership, initiative, and self-control among its members and demonstrates positive academic and social conduct to the rest of the student body.

Kwandengezi Classic: Requirement - Look Cool
Student Council is hosting another Kwandengezi Classic 3 on 3 Basketball tournament on February 20th 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm! The only requirement is to look cool! So, grab two (or three) of your friend and $15 and sign up for this totally fun tournament! Prizes will be awarded to the winner of the boy’s tournament, the winner of the girl’s tournament, the team with the best sportsmanship, and the coolest looking team! The best part is that all the money goes to Operation Feedback, an organization that helps poor South African towns. A bonus is that one American dollar translates to 8 rand (their dollar). The cost is $15 per team and $1 per onlooker-but donations will be accepted. Teams can consist of teachers and the opposite gender. Ask Mr. Wiertel for details on which division you will be competing in. Sign up is from February 2nd to February 20th for teams at lunch time. If you’re an onlooker, just show up! So, if today is February 20th between 3:00 and 5:00 pm. get off this computer and head over to the Lisle Junior High gym to help the South Africans by playing (or watching) some fun B-ball!

The T-Shirt sale is thriving-so if you want you Masakane (building together) light green or brown shirt for $3 or two for $5, you better hurry up!
You can buy them during your lunch period Feb. 2nd to Feb. 20th
Again, all the profits go to Operation Feedback and poor African villages.

It’s official! The Valentines Day Dance is “The Love Lockdown”! And yes, it is on Friday the thirteenth! Oooo scary!!! It will begin at 7 pm and end at 9 pm. It’s $3 for admission, $1 per picture.
