4th Graders Tour the U.S. without Ever Leaving Lisle!

After studying Illinois, the 4th grade classes at Schiesher begin studying the regions of the United States. Students are able to select a state from one of the regions that they would like to research outside of school. In order to share all of the wonderful information they gather about their selected states, they create a project and present it to the other 4th graders. Students choose to create one of six different types of projects based on their individual interests and talents. They may choose to create a technology presentation, float, game, presentation board, travel brochure or song. When presenting the projects, the students become class experts and teach others many interesting facts and details about the state they researched.
