Thank you, Molex Corporation!
The beginning of the school year is an exciting time in Lisle School District #202. Students are finding their new classrooms, meeting teachers, and seeing old and new friends. There are many emotions ranging from happy and excited to fearful and nervous. The start to a new year can bring on a new anxiety if a student doesn’t have a backpack and/or supplies. For the sixth consecutive year, Molex Corporation in Lisle, IL has generously donated over 100 backpacks brimming with supplies. Although a child might be nervous on the first day, no student is ever embarrassed for not having what they need for school! Paper, pencils, and ear phones are just a few of the things purchased and donated by the generous folks at Molex. Coworkers adopt a “student” by picking male/female and a grade level. This year, the donators had two options: to adopt and shop or to purchase supplies online through Educational Services. This large undertaking is carefully orchestrated by Wanda Miller and Jo Booty (in picture). What an incredible difference Wanda, Jo, Bev and all of the Molex employees make in the community. Thank you from the bottom of our backpacks and hearts, Molex!
