Kids Giving to Kids!
Schiesher Elementary School knows that many of our families are struggling right now and we want nothing more than to make sure Lisle 202 families have what they need for the holiday season. The students of Schiesher Elementary School raised over $1000 for the DuPage County Toys for Tots. In return, Toys for Tots and Alliance for the Children teamed up to help take away some of the added stress of the holiday season. A number of families, totaling over 100 students, were chosen this year and we hope to help many more families in the years to come.
Toys for Tots and Alliance for the Children are both non-for-profit 501 3C charities that partnered with our school in order to assist families in need during the holiday season. Each of the children in the families chosen received new clothes: 2 outfits, underwear, socks, gloves, a pair of shoes, a jacket, as well as, a bag of age appropriate toys.
A big thanks to the children of Schiesher, Toys for Tots and Alliance for the Children who helped spread holiday cheer throughout our district. We hope everyone had a safe and healthy holiday!
