4th Graders Tour the U.S. without Ever Leaving Lisle!
After studying Illinois, the 4th grade classes at Schiesher studied the regions of the United States. Each student was able to select a state from one of the regions, and they researched that state outside of school. They researched state symbols, famous landmarks and places to visit, leading products and crops grown and much more! In order to share all of the wonderful information they gathered about their selected states, they created a project and presented it to the other students. The type of project selected was based on the student’s individual interests and talents. They were able to create a technology presentation, float, game, presentation board, travel brochure or song. When presenting the projects, the students became class experts and taught other students many interesting facts and details about the state they researched.
