CLASSROOM POLICIES

Attendance/Tardiness
Unexcused and excesssive absences (usually more than 5 per quarter) will detract from your grade.

Your 3rd tardy for the semester will result in a referral and warning from the assistant principal. For each subsequent tardy you will receive an after school detention; 6 tardies earn you a Saturday detention.

Homework
Homework is to be turned in at the beginning of the period unless otherwise stated. It may be turned in one day late for a 10% lower grade but will not be accepted more than 1 day late.

Major Assignments
These constitute essays, research papers, projects, presentations, speeches, and coursework that you are generally given a week or more to complete with a specific turn in date (if you are present when the assignment is given and only absent on its due date, you are expected to turn it in on time.) It may be submitted one day late for a 10% lower grade but will not be accepted more than a day late.

In rare cases of extenuating circumstances exceptions to the above policy may be granted with a doctor's or parent's note & conference.

Daily Supplies
Notebook, folder or binder are all acceptable along with pen & pencil
Any student who must return to his locker for supplies receives a tardy
No papers will be accepted with spiral edges

GOLDEN RULES

Always treat other students with respect
Never talk  when I am teaching!
