PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

The HS Home and School Organization (HSO) is truly a partnership between the families, administration and faculty of Lisle Senior High School. Our goal is to support our community of students, parents, and teachers.

With your generous support last year we were able to accomplish the following: an educational program on financial aid for our parents, bottled water for our students during the extensive end of year testing, lunch for our facility and staff for Teacher Appreciation Day, $1000 donation to the Senior Prom, Senior Banquet - a special evening for all our graduating seniors and a $1500 contribution to the HSO Council's Scholarship Awards. In the past we have been able to donate Benches that are in front of the Senior High School and Display Case by the auditorium to exhibit our talented children’s Fine Arts work. Look for more benches coming soon outside the front doors. Thank you, we could not have accomplished this without your support!

The fundraisers that support the HS HSO are:

50/50 Raffle: This fun fundraiser that takes place during our home football games and basketball games.

HolidayCraft Fair: We have over 20 crafters scheduled for Sunday November 9, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., at the high school. If you are interested in joining as a crafter, please email Marilyn Buchholz at mbuchholz@lisle202.org.

New This Year: Wine Tasting. Our tentative date for wine tasting is Sunday, March 15 at Evivva’s in Lisle. Look for details to come home.

We offer easy shopping at Current online, www.currentfun.com,for cards, household items, gifts and wrapping paper. No door-to-door sales - just do your shopping online and have it delivered to your door!

If you have not joined the HSO we urge you to do so. Your $7.00 per family donation goes a long way to help the HSO provide things for your children. Our meetings are open and we welcome any parents who would like to help make a difference in their child's HS experience. See the HS HSO meeting schedule in the school calendar.

The HSO Council sponsors two fundraisers of which 100% of the profit goes toward scholarships to our graduating seniors - last year we gave $12,800 to 16 of our 2007-2008 LSH graduates. These fundraisers are: Market Day which is the HSO Council’s oldest running fundraiser. The pick up days are scheduled monthly on our calendar and order forms are located at each of our schools or online. And, this is the second year for the HSO Council ‘Spring Flower Sale’. You order your flowers in February and they delivered in May.
