Welcome to Early Childhood

Meet the EC Staff

Diane Johnson    Hello to everyone. I'm looking forward to another great school year.  I am starting my 22nd year of teaching.  I attended Eastern Illinois University for my undergraduate degree.  Loyola University Chicago is where I received my graduate degree in education with an emphasis in the area of Family Studies/families with children with special needs.  My husband, son daughter, and I live in Downers Grove.  Welcome!!!

Julie Uster    Hi, I am Mrs. Julie.  Welcome back to a new school year.  I have worked with Mrs. Diane and the Early Childhood Program for many years.   I have lived in Lisle with my family for over twenty years.  Outside of school, I enjoy being with my family and especially my grandchildren!   I am looking forward to a productive and fun school year.

Ms. Linda Hausler Hello, my name is Miss Linda and I am the Speech-Language Pathologist for the Early Childhood Education Program at Tate Woods School.  I live near Lockport and enjoy spending time with my Miniature Pinscher, Kaiser, who I spoil profusely.  I completed both undergraduate and graduate studies in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Western Illinois University.  I am very excited and look forward to having a wonderful school year.

Courtney Bell  I am very excited to be working in Early Childhood this year.  I have been an aide for the last 9 years at Tate Woods School.  I live in Lombard with my Black Lab, Raven.  On the weekends, I spend time with my 2 nieces and 2 nephews going to volleyball and baseball games.  I am looking forward to a great year.

Monica Valdez I have been a teacher's aide at Tate Woods for seven years.  This is my first year working with Mrs. Diane's AM Early Childhood class.  I was born in the Philippines and I speak 3 languages (llocano, Tagalog, and English).  I graduated and taught Kindergarten Education before I migrated to join my parents her in America.  I became a nursing aide for older people for many years and then worked as a counselor in an Abused Women Shelter in Chicago.  I got married to a very nice gentleman from England and became a fulltime mom for my lovely daughter, Aniliza, who is now a junior at Lisle Senior High School.  Living and working in this peaceful, friendly, and vibrant village of Lisle is a wonderful experience for me and my family.  Looking forward for a great and exciting school year 2014-15!
