COMMUNITY. CONVERSATION. COLLABORATION.

Vision 202 is an ongoing collaborative conversation between the community and Lisle District 202 about the achievements, needs, and other key issues involved in maintaining a successful educational experience for students. Each year, all community members are invited to participate in these important conversations. Over the past four years, parents, alumni, community members without current students, employees, business owners, and future parents have provided valuable input on a variety of topics that have contributed to a community-wide collaborative vision and important decisions for programs and services that support our students. Community recommendations are created from the participants’ input to assist the Board of Education in making key decisions for our school district. These recommendations have resulted in a number of improvements, program expansions, and services. Vision 202 2019 is coming this spring! Keep an eye out for information in the coming months.

FINANCES Board of Education Approves Decrease in Homeowners’ 2019 Tax Bill Lisle District 202 and the Board of Education work to ensure the maximum resources are available to provide the learning community with the essential education, skills and experiences necessary for future success while also carefully considering the financial impact on community stakeholders. Over the past few months, the Board of Education thoroughly reviewed 15 scenarios during the decision-making process for the property tax levy. The Board of Education unanimously approved total property taxes of $29,278,000 while also abating $580,000 of taxes related to outstanding bonds. The School District expects the net result to be a slight decrease in the average homeowner’s tax bill next year. The School Board believes this option meets the fiscal responsibility of the School District while also being sensitive to the financial needs of the community.
