BOARD APPROVES TAX ABATEMENT

The Board of Education approved total property taxes of $29,278,000 while also abating $580,000 of taxes related to outstanding bonds.  The School District expects the net result to be a slight decrease in the average homeowner's tax bill next year.  The School Board evaluated fifteen (15) different property tax scenarios and believed the option unanimously approved met the fiscal responsibility of the School District while also being sensitive to the financial needs of the community.

LISLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

How is construction progressing on the new Lisle Elementary School?

Over the past several months, construction crews have worked to erect the exterior structure of the building.  It is now resembling the renderings of our future school!

When will the new school open?

We are pleased to share that the project continues to be on budget and is scheduled to open according to plan in August 2019.

What will happen to the current elementary buildings?

The Tate Woods building has been sold to Kindi Academy, a math and science academy.  The Board of Education is currently considering options for the Schiesher building, but no decision has been made a this time.

Please Help Us Grow!

Each year, Illinois conducts a climate survey called the 5Essentials Survey.  Parents, students in Grades 4-12 and Teachers are invited to take the survey.

Please take a moment to complete this important survey!  We need at least 20% participation at each school for the survey results  to be counted.
