Lisle District 202 is pleased to present the District eNewsletter, "Points of Pride."  Each month we will share information and celebrations with our community as part of our commitment to providing a "window into the schools" of Lisle 202.  We invite you to read on and take a look at what's happening here in the Pride of Lions!

AUTHOR VISIT 

Eric Litwin, author of the children's book series "Pete the Cat", visited our elementary students to share his love for reading and special approach to motivating young readers through repetition, music, and FUN!  Mr. Litwin also entertained families at the Tate Woods Reading Night!  Thank you to Mr. Litwin , the LEHSO for making this event possible, and to all the families who  joined us to celebrate reading!

 

 

SPECIAL OLYMPIANS FINISH STRONG 

On Sunday October 22nd, five Lisle 202 Special Olympics Athletes competed and five Lisle Senior High Buddies participated in the Regional Floor Hockey Competition at Hersey High School in Arlington Heights.  Take a look at our medal winners and state qualifiers here! Congratulations to all our athletes!

 

 

EPIC CODING QUEST 

Epic school coding battle? Lisle High School Computer Science students were up for the challenge! Recently, students were tasked with writing/coding an Epic Quest program in Python computer programming language.  Click here to learn more and play the games!

One goal in Lisle 202 is to help our students recognize that Lisle is part of a larger community and we have opportunities to help others both near and far.

Lisle Junior High School's Jake S. had the game of his life!  Take a look at how his story touched the hearts and minds of the Lisle 202 community and beyond!

 

Eye on the Environment

Mrs. Neustadt's class is working to help the environment by collecting markers to recycle for the Crayola Color Cycle Program.  Markers are still being collected.  Learn more here!

Board of Education Seat Filled

Lisle Community School District 202 welcomes Daniel Helderle to the Board of Education. After careful consideration of interested and qualified candidates, the Board appointed Mr. Helderle to replace member Anne Blaeske who resigned at the end of last month.  Learn more here.

The Board of Education is committed to providing information about the school district to the Lisle 202 community.  Each month a Board Highlights summary and video recordings of the Board Finance Committee Meeting and the Regular Board Meeting are posted on our website.  We invite you to stay current with school district business  by visiting the Lisle 202 website.

School Visitor Procedures

As part of our continued efforts to maintain safe and secure learning environments, all visitors will be asked to present a photo ID upon entering the school buildings.  Thank you for your assistance in keeping our students safe!

College Night 2017

To assist our families navigate the college planning process, Lisle High School would like to invite Sophomore -Senior families to College Night 2017 on November 2, 2017 from 7-9:30 pm. LHS Fall Play: "It's a Wonderful Life"
