Lisle District 202 is pleased to present the District eNewsletter, "Points of Pride."  Each month we will share information and celebrations with our community as part of our commitment to providing a "window into the schools" of Lisle 202.  We invite you to read on and take a look at what's happening here in the Pride of Lions!

LISLE SCIENCE OLYMPIAD 

Congratulations to the Lisle Science Olympiad team who competed at the Palatine Invitational this month.  Six Lisle High School event teams earn two first place, three second place and one fourth place finish.  Way to go Lions!

 

 


 

LISLE 202 SCHOOL FOOD DRIVES 

Each of our schools sponsored food drives in November to help those in need.  Students brought in non-perishable food items to donate to local food pantries as well as the DuPage PADS programs. 

NEW LISLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Lisle 202 is pleased to share that progress continues in planning for the new Lisle Elementary School. We invite you to take a look at this virtual video walk through our new building!

 

The exterior and interior designs are nearing completion and further planning and design will continue including the following components: 

 

  • Develop all architectural and engineering components of the interior and exterior design elements
  • Solidify Planning and Design Elements
  • Building Systems
  • Interior and Exterior Finishes
  • Material and Color Selections

 

We are on track to begin the construction process in June 2018.  We look forward to sharing more information as our progress continues.  If you would like to learn more about the planning process and facility information, please visit the Vision 202 website.

 

EMERGENCY CLOSING INFORMATION

In the event of an emergency school closing, information and announcements will be made by 6am through the following:

 

Parents are encouraged to continue to monitor the District website during inclement weather. 

In the event of school closings, all before school and after school activities as well as transportation will be cancelled.

 

It is important to note that notification will only be made if school is closed, otherwise, the day will resume according to the normal schedule.

School Visitor Procedures

As part of our continued efforts to maintain safe and secure learning environments, all visitors will be asked to present a photo ID upon entering the school buildings.  Thank you for your assistance in keeping our students safe!

 

Elementary Classroom Winter Parties

Classroom Winter Parties will be on Thursday, December 21st.

 

Lisle High School Final Exams

Wednesday, December 20th through Friday, December 22nd.  Please refer to the Principal's Message for more information.

 

Winter Break
Winter Break will begin on December 25, 2017.  Classes will resume on Monday, January 8, 2018.
