Board of Education Visits Technology Center of DuPage
tour of Technology Center of DuPage

Did you know that 34 Lisle High School students currently attend the Technology Center of DuPage (TCD)? Through this partnership, our students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of career and technical education programs, explore potential career pathways, gain hands-on experience, and develop valuable skills that prepare them for college, careers, and beyond.

On September 29th, members of the Lisle 202 Board of Education and District Administration visited TCD to see these programs in action. The visit provided a firsthand look at the engaging and rigorous learning experiences available to our students through this partnership.

During the tour, the group observed students engaged in a wide range of programs, from culinary arts and cosmetology to fire science, automotive technology, welding, construction trades, nursing, game design, and more. David, one of our Lisle High School students, demonstrated some of the physical skills required in the fire science program, giving visitors a glimpse of the rigorous training involved. Each program is thoughtfully designed to provide students with practical, real-world experience in fields that are in high demand today and projected to continue growing in the future.

For Lisle High School students, TCD offers more than just career training. It provides the chance to explore interests, discover new passions, and build a strong foundation for lifelong success. Whether a student is interested in the medical field, learning a skilled trade, or exploring creative industries, the programs at TCD open doors to unique learning opportunities that extend beyond the traditional classroom.

Our District is proud to partner with the Technology Center of DuPage to provide these experiences for our students. Seeing our Lisle High School students engaged in authentic, hands-on learning reinforces the importance of offering diverse pathways that meet the needs and interests of all learners.
