  • School Calendars Presented - The District Administration creates school calendars two years in advance to assist families with planning. Calendars for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years were presented for Board review at the January meeting. The 2024-2025 school calendar includes revisions adjusting early release and institute day dates in October and November of 2024. Both calendars will be brought to the February meeting for Board approval. Dr. Kotalik also noted that the current 2023-2024 school calendar will be presented once the risk of winter weather has passed. If no more emergency days are used, the last day of school this year will be on May 29th.

  • Board Policy 6:310 - The Board approved expanding the physical education exemptions to marching band students in grades 9-12 and athletes in grades 11-12 as well as expanded the exemptions to include students in grades 11-12 who need courses for institutions of higher learning and/or graduation. 

  • 2023-2024 Areas of Focus Update - Dr. Filipiak presented a brief overview of the progress made toward the Areas of Focus identified at the beginning of the school year in the areas of Operations, Finance, Communication, and Student Learning. More information is available in the document linked in the January Agenda.
