Introducing the New Lisle 202 Director of Student Services
Janet Diaz

On March 23, 2026, the Lisle Community Unit School District 202 Board of Education approved the appointment of Ms. Janet Diaz as the new Director of Student Services, effective July 1, 2026. 

Ms. Diaz brings twenty years of experience in education, all within Addison School District #4. She began her career as a special education teacher at the elementary and junior high levels and grew into a variety of leadership roles, including dean of students, assistant principal, principal, and most recently, Director of Student Services.

Ms. Diaz's approach to leadership is grounded in empathy, cultural responsiveness, and a steadfast commitment to students and families. Her breadth of experience gives her a deep, firsthand understanding of the full continuum of student services. Most recently, she led special education programming and curriculum district-wide, enhanced bilingual programming, and built a culture of growth and relevant learning experiences for both students and staff. Those who have worked with her enthusiastically praise her strong work ethic, expertise in student services, and remarkable ability to build trusting relationships with staff and families.

Ms. Diaz states, “I am honored to join the Lisle community as Director of Student Services. I look forward to collaborating with this district’s educators, families and community partnerships that are deeply committed to the growth and wellbeing of every student. I am excited to continue this important work to ensure all students feel valued, supported and empowered to thrive.”

Ms. Diaz completed her undergraduate degree at Northern Illinois University, a Master’s degree in School Leadership from Benedictine University, and her Director of Student Services Licensure from Northern Illinois University.
