LJHS Cross Country State Qualifiers and coaches

Congratulations to our Lisle state cross country competitors on an outstanding performance at the State Championship Meet on Saturday, October 18th!

Alex Z capped off her season by running her second-best time of the year, finishing in 14:22. Alex is already looking ahead to next season, aiming to help lead the girls’ team to a state qualification next fall.

Max P also delivered a strong performance, clocking his second-best time of the season at 12:04, placing 105th out of more than 220 runners, an impressive finish in the top half of the field.

Making school history, Luke E ran a 21-second personal record with a time of 11:09, averaging two back-to-back 5:34 miles to finish 19th overall. His incredible effort earned him All-State honors, making him the first All-State runner in program history! Luke surged from 25th place at the 1.5-mile mark, passing six competitors in the final stretch.

We are extremely proud of all our cross-country runners this season and look forward to another season next year. Way to go, Lions!
