The gym was full of excitement on Monday, March 4th in Country Club Hills, as the JV Lady Lions Volleyball Team represented Lisle very well with respect and sportsmanship against Beecher. The team overcame some pre-game adversity to move forward and take care of business as they captured the first ever IESA Sectional Championship in program history!  Leading the way for Lisle with solid all around play were Collins W, Olivia P, Hailey A, Kat C, Kendall M, Elliott P, Avery P, Bella G, and Joy P.  Lisle came out of the gates with determined focus and controlled most of the first set despite it being a close one and pulled away to win twenty five to sixteen.  In set 2, Lisle knew that getting off to a good start was key, and they did, eventually leading by almost ten points. Beecher however, rallied late to tie the score at twenty one. Coming out with renewed focus after a timeout, Olivia P stepped up and served an ace to clinch the set, match, and the Sectional Title with a twenty five to twenty one victory.  This record breaking season now has the girls' record sitting at eleven wins and only two defeats.

This victory moves the girls into the IESA State Quarterfinals for the first time ever, and they will play on Friday at 8:15pm just outside of Decatur. Coach Schmidt would like to thank all the girls for a tremendous run so far and let's keep this thing going!

Lastly, a special thank you to not only all our JV parents, but the countless students, parents, and others from the community who filled up the gym and cheered the girls to victory!
