LJHS Staff Recognized for Life-Saving Actions
group of people

On Thursday, March 27th, Lisle 202 and Lisle-Woodridge Fire District had the tremendous honor of recognizing three incredible LJHS teachers for their life-saving efforts during an emergency involving one of our students. Our school nurse and teachers' quick response not only saved a life, but also reminded us of the profound care and dedication that make our school community so special.

The student's family was part of the recognition and shared their thanks saying, "He (the student) was [at the Junior High] with people that cared about him and took quick action...I cannot tell you how grateful we are."

Principal Dave Kearney said, "Words cannot express my gratitude and pride in what they were able to do that day. Our teachers make a difference every day, but in a life and death situation, from the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of Lisle Junior High and Lisle School District, thank you."

We are also immensely grateful to the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District for their prompt assistance in caring for our student. Thank you to each of those who helped in this situation and to all who make a difference every day!
