Board of Education Action Provides Financial Relief for Residents

2020 has brought a variety of challenges, in particular, financial uncertainty to many in our community.  The Lisle 202 Board of Education recognized these difficulties and have worked to alleviate some of the burden by waiving and reducing a number of costs associated with the school district.

Tax Abatement Holds Property Taxes Flat

The Board is committed to fiscal responsibility while ensuring a strong financial position for the District in order to support programs and services for our students. The Board is conscientious of the impact of taxes on individuals and businesses in the community as they weigh the needs of the District each year.   As part of the effort to ease the school district's tax burden on residents in 2021, the Board has approved an abatement that results in little to no increase for current homeowners.  This is the third consecutive year that the Board has approved a tax abatement which has resulted in nearly $2,000,000 in savings for Lisle 202 property owners.

School Fees Waiver

The Board voted to waive 2020-2021 school fees for all Lisle 202 families and parking fees have been waived for all Lisle High School students.

Free  Lunch Program

In addition to the Lisle 202 Board of Education's actions, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that it is extending the distribution of free meals to students through the end of the 2020-2021 school year. This allows Lisle 202 and Aramark Food Service to continue serving free meals to all children 18 years and under within our district to help ensure children have access to nutritious food as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

Grab & Go meals will continue to be provided over Winter Break.  Please visit the School Lunch page of our website for pick-up dates and times
