Samantha Mocarski- 2012

In this week's Alumni Spotlight, we catch up with Class of 2012 graduate, Samantha Mocarski.

What are you doing now?

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital serving the new Trauma Pre-School.

How did Lisle 202 prepare you for this role?

I had a great foundation going into college with all the science class opportunities. The GEMS program helped me shadow, volunteer, and hone in on wanting to go into the healthcare field. Lisle also allowed me to build leadership skills in the small classes and variety of clubs.

What is your advice for current Lisle Lions?

Don't settle. If you find yourself doing things you are not passionate about or in a job that doesn't treat you well, it is OK to change. Also, take chances on new roles or new programs. You may find that a new opportunity is your passion.

Who inspired you during your tenure in Lisle 202?

Mr. LaScala and Mrs. Gucciardo helped me fall in love with the sciences and want to go into health care. Seniorita Fischer and Senora Sally inspired me to travel and get outside of my comfort zone. Mr. M helped me grow in my self-confidence and mental well being.

What is your favorite memory from being a Lisle Lion?

AFS school exchanges and trips and the 2012 Costa Rica trip.
