Each semester, 10th grade students in Mr. Dan Sanko's Health Education class study a wide range of topics related to Health and Wellness. One topic studied is what to do in case of an emergency. At Lisle High School, the three physical education department educators are also certified CPR/AED instructors. During this unit of study, the PE educators provide instruction to students on how to properly administer CPR and how to use an automated defibrillator.
An Eye on Standards:
Public Act 98-0632: Secondary school students receive training on CPR and how to use an AED (automatic defibrillator).
