Students in Colette Polmanteer's second grade class have built a special relationship as readers with their peers in Wales this year.  Through collaboration with Instructional Technology Teacher, Megan Altic, Mrs. Polmanteer's students have worked in targeted reading groups around shared texts with a group of students in Year 3 class (equivalent to 2nd grade) in Wales (United Kingdom).  Students in both schools worked collaboratively to talk about the book they were reading, the characters and the work they were doing around standards/expectations as they grew as readers. We are excited to share this example of how Tate Woods students learn beyond the walls of Lisle and grow their global perspective.
